How Much Life Are You Willing To Let Pass You By Before You Ask For Help? - Words From A Wise Psychologist

Me : I just feel I need to do things on my own, to make it on my own, to make my dreams come true with my own two hands.

Psychologist : Alright.
But.
How long do you want to try to do things on your own?
A month?
A year?
10 years?
You may struggle on your own for a long time,
and find that you feel the time was lost and wasted.

Me : ...

Psychologist : I don't want to see you wind up 30, 40, 50 years old and full of regrets.
Try to do things on your own,
but,
if you are not reaching your goals,
don't lose too much time struggling without success.
Don't let your dreams and youth slip away without you feeling fulfilled.

Tell others your dreams.
Seek all the help you can to make them come true.

Me : Why am I worthy of having my dreams come true?

Psychologist : Simple, because I deserve to have my dreams come true,
my Secretary deserves to have her dreams come true,
my Son deserves to have his dreams come true,
my 5th grade teacher deserves to have his dreams come true,
everyone deserves to have their dreams come true,
including you.

It is a human right.
Just as every human being has the right to freedom, respect, clean drinking water, good food, a meaningful job, and so on.

Me : Many people don't have these things.

Psychologist : Right, that just means it's vital to keep working towards this goal,
all of us,
and that means helping each other realize each other's dreams.

Me : ...

Psychologist : Again, you have your dreams, your goals, how long do you want to wait for them to come true? How long do you want to try to make them come true all on your own?
Don't wait too long.
You can feel life passing by.

It's simple.
If you've tried to do it on your own, and you can't,
then it's time to seek out help,
otherwise, time will pass by, and you will not have achieved your goals and dreams,
or even feel that you had made progress towards achieving them,
and the frustration will build inside of you,
and sour the entirety of your life.

Psychologist : Ask yourself,
"How much life am I willing to let pass me by before I ask for help living it to its fullest?"
