"If You Want To Get Something, You've Got To WANT IT, And WANT IT Really Bad."
You can't be a pussie about it.
You got to GO OUT THERE and get what you want.
Don't let anybody tell you different.
"You've Got To Want It So Bad, It Hurts."
You see when you want something so bad it hurts,
you're sending a message to yourself,
a message of threat,
a message of urgency,
and your body,
your whole being,
responds by giving you a surge of energy.
It's like the adrenaline-rush you get when you're engaged in "flight or fight".
You get a big boost of energy that just propels you into action.
"Know What You Want."
"You've Got To Be 100% Clear On What You Want."
"You've Got To Put What You Want Dead In Your Sights And Then Go After It Like Satan Himself Is Driving You."
They say that men are hunters by nature.
I don't know.
It seems to me that this advice could be applied by women who are stuck as well.
"People Will Tell You To Forget About Your Dreams,
To Forget About Things You Really Want."
"You're Not Being 'Realistic'."
"You're Not Being 'Practical'."
"You're Not 'Thinking Things Through'."
"TO HELL WITH THEM !"
"They Aren't Living Your Life."
"They Don't Know What SHIT You're Going Through."
"They Don't Know About How Bad You Want Something."
"They're Just Stuck In Their Mediocre World,
With Their Mediocre Job,
And Their Mediocre Life."
"They Gave Up On Dreaming A Long Time Ago,
And Now The Pussies Want To Take Your Dreams To."
"Just Give Them The F#%^ING Finger And Do What You Want,
And To Hell What They Think!"
I would add to my friend's tirade that,
above all else,
be true to yourself,
and if part of your truth isn't telling people to f-off,
don't do it,
you're just forcing yourself to be something you're not,
and that can never turn out well.
"Yeagh Sure."
"Maybe You Screw Up."
"Maybe You Mess Up."
"Maybe You Screw Up And Mess Up Everything."
"Everything Goes To Shit."
"You Wind Up Feeling Like A Big Pile Of Cow Crap."
"So What?"
"Screwing Up Is Part Of Life."
"If You Don't Screw Up, You Aren't Living."
"Feel Like Crap."
"Sure. Feel Like The Biggest Crap Ever Taken."
"But Don't Let It Stop You."
"Don't Let It Hold You Back From Moving Forward."
"Keep Moving Forward."
"Keep Moving Forward."
I have to admit...
It's really helpful to hear somebody be direct and forthcoming.
Somebody passionate.
Somebody who lights a fire in a person's belly.
It's quite wonderful.
----
It's about PASSION.
A PASSION For Life.
Such an intensity that it churns out in rough, crude language,
because it is too RAW,
it is too WILD,
for the confines of regular speech.
Oftentimes, meaning gets confused in polite speech and can lose all its intensity,
all of its ability to really effect positive change in a person's life.
Oftentimes...you just need to speak plainly and that can mean crude, brisk, even boorish language.
But, that is what intensity is for.
